About DonorEx
DonorEx is a blood donor registry for saving lives in medical emergencies. Potential blood donors register themselves on the website, specifying their location. When a hospital needs blood for a medical emergency, donors registered in the vicinity are notified of the blood type needed by email and sms.
Hundreds of lives are lost in developing countries, where blood banks are either non-existent or non-functional. DonorEx aims to address this by notifying donors ‘on demand’.
We welcome donors to be a part of this movement. A few minutes of your time could save a life.
Our current website is a beta version being tested in India. We hope to launch DonorEx globally, wherever such services are needed.
DonorEx reserves the right to release your contact information to hospitals. Blood donation requests will be sent by email and sms to the email id and mobile no. provided during registration. By registering as a donor, you legally affirm that you:
- are at least 18 years of age
- are medically fit to donate blood
- do not have, to the best of your knowledge, any communicable disease (including but not limited to HIV Aids)
